Test Dryer

Now there is a way to make definitive drying tests
... before you settle on a new dryer

The problem with designing a new production dryer is that we can not calculate ahead of time precisely the speed with which a particular ceramic with a given shape is going to dry. The test chamber is used to get that information.

Ceramic Services, Inc. has designed a test chamber that not only enables you to get the information you need about your ware and your shape, but also develops design information that can be directly used in the detail design of a dryer.
However, the chamber alone is not enough !
You must know what data to look for and what to do with that data once you get it. The Kilnman supplies you two books along with the test dryer. The first book is the standard instruction manual that tells how to operate and repair the dryer. The second book is a users guide that gives you instructions about how to make meaningful drying tests.

In addition you get The Kilnman to assist you in your initial planning.

Also available are the following extras:
A 6" square observation window.
An option to heat to 100 degrees C (200 degrees F)
An oprtion to heat to 200 degrees C (380 degreesF)
A digital scale internally mounted and wired to the controller for computer recording (externally mounted in higher temperature units)

The chamber size is 24 inches wide x 24 inches deep by 24 inches high.

It is self contained having all the necessary controls and instrumentation as well as the heater, fan and humidity devices. It only requires a standard air conditioner single phase 240 volt outlet and a source of water. All you do is plug it in and start operating.
