James E. Stephan

Mr. Stephan has over 30 years of engineering and management experience relating
to technical ceramics and advanced materials processing, product development,
applications engineering, manufacturing support, market development and TQM.
His engineered materials background includes extensive experience in both
advanced ceramics and traditional ceramics, specialty metals and composites,
and polymeric materials. Mr. Stephan's background in powder processing and
fabrication technology is focused on near-net shape forming of all classical
methods of materials' fabrication.


The management experience of James Stephan includes a biomedical company startup,
corporate general management, materials development, technical director, product
and process engineering, intellectual property management, process control,
corporate alliances (joint development, manufacturing and distribution agreements),
technology leveraging through contract research, total quality management and
market development. As an inventor, he has seven patents.
Mr. Stephan is a member of several professional societies including The American Ceramic Society,
Society of Manufacturing Engineers, American Powder Metallurgy Institute,
and Materials Research Society. His educational background and degrees include
a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering (University of Illinois),
M.S. in Metallurgy and Materials Science Engineering (University of Denver),
and formal leadership training in Management (M.S. Program at Regis University).
